getting ready for church....

SOmething terrific has heppened this morning. My clothes fit! ROFL! The lat time I put this skirt on (a few weeks ago) it was tight. So was the shirt. Okay the shirt is one that is normally slim fitting. Neither are uncomfortable! I actually have room at my waist band (like na inch and half!). What a relief this is! It had gotten really snug and almost too uncomfortable to wear! I am feeling better, minus the tummy ache (bug) Scott and I had yesterday. I'm having some minor pain this morning, but over all I am doing good. The prednisone must be working in my gut and shrinking the inflamation that was causing the swelling. Hmm isn't inflamation and swelling the same thing? LOL!

I hope I am on my way back to me. I'm sure m family would like ME back, I'm much more pleasant when I am feeling good.

I HATE taking drugs, but I am thankful Heavenly Father has give "us" the knowledge of some of these medicines. I hope my body kicks in and finishes the rest.

Leave it to me to get the weird things! This is the second time in a mont that I have been "blessed" with this strange ailment! The last day of antibiotics (shot) last time was March 18th. I had started with Augmentin and that didn't work. They gave me a good shot of rochepin (a peanut butter shot) and that seemed to make a big difference quickly. I went back and got another, after the second I noticed remarkable improvement. I was SO excited! Then on Monday it started foming back. So it lasted two weeks. The next week we just did Rocephin shots. OUCH! I went round and round with the insurance company about an IV versus shots. The doctor recommended the IV because it would be less pain. I opted for the shot when I realized that the ER visit for 5 days would be about $400-500 a day. OUCH. So I got 5 rocephin shots that week. It was so much better by that Friday (18). YEAH! Teacher Appreciation

Originally I had planned on do a different door completely! I was going to copy a door I found on a website Sugardoodle.net had posted on Facebook. I even got Home Depot to donate the things I needed. Last week I thought I should do a Hawaiian theme since this teacher went to school there and met his wife at BYU Hawaii and he will use "Mahalo" (thank you in Hawaiian) in class. I put it off, I had everything. Well, this morning I decided to change it to the Hawaiian theme. I had it all worked out in my head. I knew what I wanted. It didn't turn out the way I wanted exactly but I think it worked well. Mahalo Nui Loa, Thank you very much. I told LeMira, the parent council president that I was not very creative. She bawks at that idea now. I may have gotten myself in trouble. LeMira, made the pail and shovel and the banner. Journey made the sand castle. Lots of encouragement and it was done and hung. Not bad for a "last minute" idea.

Goodbye Nala (graphic warning)

  The past 22hrs have been excruciating. 22hrs ago we were sitting down to a late dinner after helping buck hay. Ramen Noodles, the dinner of champions, ya know. We heard this HORRIBLE noise. None of us had a clue what it was. Someone said "It sounds like someone is dieing. Little did we know it was OUR dog! Scott went out to investigate. He was gone for a few minutes and when he came in, he had this look. I said "Do I need to come?". "yes" was the answer I popped up and threw shoes on. When I went outside I saw a car in the middle of the road with a dog BEHIND it. My thought was it was Danny and Nala was sitting there worried. When I went up the boy (17) driving said "she ran out in front of us". It took a minute to realize he was refering to my dog. She was on the ground mangled. Her back legs were a twisted mess.
